MySQL, reigning high...
One of the best reasons to attend the MySQL Users Conference and Expo is the unprecedented gathering of top-notch presenters, leaders, and experts. Core developers, unique users, and visionaries share their knowledge with you to help you learn about the latest in MySQL technology, discover new business opportunities, take a pulse on industry direction and commune with like minds. You won't find a gathering like this at any other convention.
MySQL, Developer of the world's most popular open source database answers all your database queries direct from the MySQL software engineers who code the MySQL database server. This dissertation addresses a number of important issues related to profile guided optimization and Interprocedural optimization.
MySQL AB hosted the world's First Annual MySQL User Conference, in the heart of Silicon Valley, April 10-12, 2003. This event was one of the biggest gathering of MySQL database users ever in one location. Designed for both the MySQL developer and the corporate decision maker, this is the place to be part of something big.

We learn how
Profile guided Optimization has 3 phases - namely Instrumentation Compilation and Linking, Instrumented Execution and Feedback Compilation and Interprocedural optimization is an integral component in a compilation system for high-performance computing. The importance of interprocedural optimization stems from two sources: it increases the context available to the optimizing compiler, and it enables programmers to use procedure calls without the concern of hurting execution time.
The focus is on compilers where they can automatically generate codes to create and destroy threads and understand which variables are thread-safe and which are not. Intel Compilers 6.0 boasts of features such as has never been seen before. It supports the latest Intel processors, including Pentium 4 processor, intel Xeon and Itanium processors. Its optimization feature includes IA32 specific features such as support for SSE2, Intel Netburst, microarchitecture, automatic vectorization and Hyperthreading, Itanium specific features like Predication and Software Pipelining, Profile Guided Optimization (PGO), Inter-Procedural Optimization (IPO), Data Prefetching, OpenMP support and are also compatible with leading development architecture.
