In this report we are making report with two report sections by using the Sequential section
Description
Now its time for us to concentrate on Naming
Conversions. Naming Conversions make the Design more meaningful. From this
project, we will name every component we use. For Actuate to prompt us with a name
while we place them in a report designer, we change the Options. To
change it use View menu => Options Design editor tab, check prompt
for new name. And click Ok.
In this report we are making report with
two report sections.
First of all Place a Sequential section in the content slot.
Now place a Connection component in Connection slot.
Drag one report section to the content slot and also drag the connection component and
SQL component from Data palette.
Then put another Report Section in the content slot of Sequential section and also drag the connection component and
SQL component from Data palette.
Place a frame in Page Header of the first report and place some label controls in it.
Now you may put frame and text controls in the content slot. After that set ValueExp of Text control.
The next step is to put one frame and labels in the before slot of the second report .
Then in the Content slot put frame and text control. After that set ValueExp of Text control.
Place
PageList, PageStyle and Flow into the pages.
Now your report is over. You can save and run it.
The thing to be noted is when the Page header is displayed and when not.
