Actuate Corporation has announced that many customers including Henry Jackson Foundations for the Advancement of Military Medicine and York University use the Actuate Information Application Platform to build Performance Management applications to realize the full potential of existing transactional ERP systems such as PeopleSoft.
This corroborates a study conducted by Ventana Research titled ‘Operational Performance Management” recommending that organizations look beyond the possible consolidation of transactional application vendors such as Oracle and PeopleSoft and gain a competitive advantage by implementing Performance Management initiatives. It was reported that that organizations are shifting towards implementing business intelligence technologies from leading companies such as Actuate to maximize existing ERP investments.
Ventana Research has recommended that organizations should take this opportunity to begin building and deploying Performance Management and insulating themselves from the activities of Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards and any additional consolidation in the transactional applications market.
